Media statement on key resolutions of the Urgent Special Meeting of NLM

Ngwathe Local Municipality held an Urgent Special Council meeting on 22 March 2022, in hybrid, to consider inter alia, the resignation of the Municipal Manager, Ms. N. T. Baleni. The Executive Mayor Cllr Victoria De Beer-Mthombeni will, as a matter of urgency request secondement from the MEC responsible and the subsequent advertising of the municipal manager position. In the meantime, the Council appointed Director Corporate Services Ms Florence Mokgobu, as the Acting Municipal Manager.

Mr. Zanele Majivolo, Admin Support Manager, has subsequently been appointed as the Acting Corporate Services Director for a period no longer than three (03) months as resolved by the Special Council meeting.
