Ngwathe local municipality in partnership with Sibanye Stillwater on Water Challenges & Instituting Forensic Investigation.

We would like to inform our community that Ngwathe Local Municipality together with Sibanye Stillwater have undertaken a strategic partnership in fixing the water challenges of the municipality. Sibanye Stillwater made a presentation to all Councillors in a councillor meeting held on 06 October 2022 in Vredefort.

Furthermore, Sibanye Stillwater has donated professional services of senior engineers and consultants to advice the municipality on finding a permanent solution to the current water challenges we are facing as the municipality.

We will welcome their considered and needed intervention.

Forensic Audit:

Council has resolved to institute a forensic audit on the administration of the institution. The scope will be determined and will be communicated in time.

The forensic audit seeks to gauge the affairs of the institution and identifying gaps in our systems.

This will help the council to better understand the challenges of the institution.

The audit outcomes will assist the institution to better coordinate planning and budget rollout in order to deliver effective services to our community.

Regards:

Cllr. Victoria De Beer
